What is the National General Certification in Occupational Health and Safety?

Elements 1-4 are assessed via a question paper (one 20-mark question and ten 8-mark questions)

Nebosh Exam Details

In order to sit your exam, you will first need to register with us, (please ensure all your details are spelt correctly). We will then provide you with an Examination Entry Confirmation which includes your unique learner number, as well as other essential exam information and the results process.

On the day of your exam, it is essential that you bring along your Examination Entry Confirmation, as well as a form of photographic identification (such as a passport or driving licence).

Examinations are held four times per year: March, June, September and December.

Examination Results

Results for assessments taken in English should be received within 50 working days from your examination or assignment submission date. The specific date will appear on your examination entry confirmation.

Pass Standards

•  Unit NG1: 45 marks
•  Unit NG2: The minimum standard required for a Unit NG2 ‘Pass’ can be found on page 8 of the NG2 Guidance for Learning Partners and Learners

A ‘Pass’ must be achieved in both units to achieve the International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

Qualification Grades

The qualification grade is based on the result from Unit NG1

•  Distinction: 75 marks or higher
•  Credit: 65 – 74 marks
•  Pass: 45 – 64 marks

EXAMS ARE NOT INCLUDED
